Cleaner

Role Description The Cleaner role at Beyond Velvet is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the bakery, including production spaces, storage rooms, customer areas, and restrooms. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, sanitizing equipment and high-touch areas, removing waste, and ensuring cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored. The Cleaner will follow food safety and health guidelines, support the baking team by keeping workstations organized, and promptly report any maintenance or safety issues. This role contributes directly to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both team members and customers.Qualifications Ability to perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and waste disposal in a food preparation environment.Understanding of basic hygiene, food safety practices, and adherence to health and safety standards relevant to kitchens and bakeries.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete cleaning routines and checklists consistently.Capacity to work on one’s feet for extended periods, lift and move light to moderate loads, and safely handle cleaning tools and materials.Effective communication skills to coordinate with the baking and service teams and report issues clearly to supervisors.Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in hospitality, food service, or retail, is an advantage.Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or evenings, according to business needs.Basic English language skills to follow instructions, safety notices, and cleaning procedures.
