Climate Change Non-Resident Fellow (Remote)

The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy is seeking Non-Resident Research Fellows to conduct research on climate policy and diplomacy within the Academy’s Centre for Climate Diplomacy. As a leading centre of excellence in the Middle East for foreign policy, executive training, and research, AGDA provides region-specific programs, thought leadership, and access to prominent diplomatic expertise. With a proven track record of preparing graduates to represent the UAE at the highest levels, the academy plays a pivotal role in strengthening the UAE’s global standing. Its comprehensive approach integrates international knowledge and expertise to address the dynamic challenges of global foreign policy. Centre for Climate DiplomacyThe CCD aims to advance climate research and diplomacy with a focus on guiding the UAE's foreign policy on climate change. We are committed to facilitating proactive engagement in global climate initiatives and advocating for sustainable practices.Our research tracks include Energy Transition, Adaptation & Resilience, Sustainable & Climate Finance, Climate Security & Diplomacy and Corporate Sustainability. Key responsibilities:Deliver lectures and webinars (online or in person).Support in organizing panels and workshops.Author policy and working papers and review subject-specific papers submitted by external authors.Represent the Academy in related engagements. Profile:We are seeking experienced researchers with a track record in at least one of the above-mentioned research tracks. Candidates should have a background in research, academia, government or related fields, and be motivated to contribute to impactful research aimed at advancing climate action in the UAE, MENA region and globally. The non-resident fellow is a compensated position for a period of one year (with the possibility of renewal).
