Every site we activate is a product deployment — and right now, many of those sites are running on alpha or beta builds, with the complexity that comes with it.The Implementation Manager owns the execution layer that sits between a validated product and a successfully activated clinical site. This is a field-facing, cross-functional role that requires equal parts project management discipline, technical fluency, and the interpersonal credibility to coordinate across product, engineering, clinical, and commercial teams under real pressure. If you have implemented medical technology at hospitals — managed installs, navigated IT and biomed departments, kept projects on timeline when things go sideways, and handed sites off cleanly to account teams — this role was built for you. You will be doing that work at a company that is iterating fast, where the deployment model you design and refine today will scale to hundreds of sites. As an early hire on a lean team, you will also carry some operational responsibilities that a larger organization would split across multiple roles. This is scope, not overhead — and it comes with real ownership and visibility into how the company operates and grows.Site Deployment ExecutionOwn the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for each site — from internal readiness through installation, training, and handoff to the account teamProject-manage each activation across product, engineering, clinical education, IT, and biomed to a defined timeline and go-live dateIdentify hardware requirements for each site; place orders directly with suppliers, track shipment status, communicate expected delivery to site contacts, and confirm receipt prior to scheduling installationConduct an on-site walkthrough at each new site to verify hardware, software, and connectivity are in order before clinical go-liveSupport pre-sale technical conversations with hospital IT and biomed stakeholders as needed to assess site readiness and set accurate expectations before contract closeDeliver a complete handoff to the assigned account manager at activation, including installation confirmation, any outstanding items, and site-specific notesProduct Readiness & FeedbackTrack deployment readiness across all active sites and escalate any risks that could affect go-live timelinesApply UltraSight’s tiered activation model (Alpha, Beta, Limited Release, General Availability) to determine the right level of support and site selection for each product stageParticipate in the cross-functional pilot team for early-stage deployments — the working group connecting account management, clinical education, product, and engineering during active pilotsCapture and route field feedback from sites: distinguish product bugs from feature requests, assign severity, and surface deployment risks into release planning conversationsIT & Integration CoordinationLead site-side IT and biomed coordination for each deployment: pre-installation checklist, network readiness, integration with existing imaging infrastructure where applicable, and completion of cybersecurity and vendor assessment requirementsDraw on a standardized library of completed security assessments to streamline the credentialing process at each new hospitalNavigate hospital access, procurement, and credentialing requirements independently, anticipating delays and building mitigation into the project planProcess & ScaleBuild and continuously refine the deployment playbook — the checklists, templates, timelines, and activation standards that will scale from a handful of sites today to hundreds over the next two yearsSupport the evaluation, selection, and implementation of procurement software to systematize purchase orders, supplier management, and order tracking as deployment volume growsMaintain deployment records, lessons-learned logs, and activation documentation across the portfolioGenerate license keys and submit license requests to the Quality team at site activation; send product version notifications to customers via the CRMQUALIFICATIONSIn medtech, this role is sometimes titled Implementation Manager, Field Implementation Engineer, or Clinical Implementation Specialist.
