By integrating cutting-edge science, automation, and analytics, we aim to redefine preventive and personalized medicine.About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technician I to support daily clinical laboratory operations, primarily across the Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology departments.The Clinical Laboratory Technician I will assist with specimen handling and processing, sample preparation, test kit preparation, reagent preparation, laboratory equipment operation, quality control activities, and documentation. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical laboratory environment.Shift AvailabilityFull-Time: Tuesday through Saturday: 11 AM - 7:30 PMFlexibility to work assigned shifts, weekends, or alternate schedules based on laboratory needs.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, label, organize, prepare, and process clinical specimens according to established laboratory procedures.Support routine laboratory workflows across Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology.Prepare test kits, specimens, reagents, controls, and other laboratory materials required for daily testing.Operate assigned laboratory instruments and equipment after completing required training.Assist with routine instrument setup, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting as assigned.Perform assigned quality control (QC) activities and accurately document results.Maintain accurate specimen, reagent, instrument, QC, and laboratory records.Use the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to support specimen tracking, sample status updates, and laboratory documentation.Identify specimen, reagent, processing, or equipment issues and promptly escalate concerns to appropriate laboratory personnel.Support the organization and inventory of test kits, reagents, controls, consumables, and laboratory supplies.Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory work areas.Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory safety procedures, PPE requirements, and biological specimen handling practices.Collaborate with laboratory staff to support efficient workflows, accurate processing, and timely completion of daily laboratory activities.SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to read, understand, and follow laboratory SOPs and detailed work instructions.Ability to accurately handle, organize, and document clinical specimens and laboratory materials.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical laboratory environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize daily laboratory responsibilities.Good written and verbal communication skills.Basic computer skills with the ability to learn LIS/LIMS and laboratory software systems.Ability to work independently after training and collaboratively as part of a laboratory team.Previous experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory environment.Experience supporting Chemistry, Hematology, or Immunology laboratory workflows.Experience with clinical specimen processing, sample preparation, or test kit preparation.Familiarity with clinical laboratory analyzers and general laboratory equipment.Experience with reagent preparation, quality control, and laboratory documentation.Familiarity with LIS/LIMS systems.Knowledge of clinical laboratory safety, quality, and compliance practices.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field preferred.Previous clinical laboratory, diagnostic laboratory, specimen processing, or related laboratory experience preferred.Ability to consistently follow established laboratory procedures while maintaining accuracy and quality.Ability to work effectively in a high-volume laboratory environment.Flexibility to work assigned shifts, weekends, or alternate schedules based on laboratory needs.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in a clinical laboratory setting with potential exposure to biological specimens, reagents, chemicals, and laboratory equipment.May require standing for extended periods and performing repetitive laboratory tasks.Requires handling specimen tubes, test kits, reagents, laboratory supplies, and equipment.Requires compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, including gloves, lab coats, and eye protection as needed.Must follow all laboratory safety, biological specimen handling, and waste disposal procedures.BenefitsHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance.401(k) with employer contribution.Paid time off (PTO) and holidays.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Equal Opportunity StatementVibrant America, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
