You’ll report directly to the Home Manager and lead the nursing team, working alongside an established Deputy Manager. The Home Manager is not clinical, so you will be the senior clinical voice in the home and responsible for making sure care is safe, effective and well evidenced.The owner is paying well above the market rate for this role to attract an outstanding Clinical Lead who wants to make a visible difference.About the homeA high-end, mainly private nursing home that has been established for around 40 years74 rooms providing nursing, dementia and respite careConsistently high occupancy and an excellent reputation in the local communityMore than 100 positive online reviews from residents and familiesA beautiful setting next to a golf course on a private roadPremium facilities, including a restaurant and bistro, a hair salon and high-spec lounges and bathroomsKey responsibilitiesLead, supervise and support the nursing teamOversee all clinical care across the homePlan and carry out clinical audits, including medication, care plans, falls, pressure care and infection control, and make sure actions are completed and evidencedManage medicines, including the drug ordering cycle, MAR charts, controlled drugs and stock checksMake sure the home meets CQC standards at all times, with a particular focus on the Safe key questionWork closely with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager on governance, quality and continuous improvementAct as the clinical point of contact for residents, families and external professionalsEssential requirementsRegistered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PINProven experience as a Clinical Lead, or equivalent senior clinical experience in a nursing homeStrong knowledge of clinical governance, auditing and medicines managementGood understanding of CQC regulations and the Single Assessment FrameworkConfident leadership of a nursing team, including supervision and performance managementAble to commute to Sutton Coldfield easilyDesirableExperience of preparing a home for CQC inspections or improving a home’s ratingExperience in dementia careWhat’s on offerA salary of up to £55,000, depending on experienceA supernumerary role with genuine clinical authorityAn invested, supportive owner who backs the senior teamThe chance to lead clinical standards in one of the area’s most respected homesHow to applyApply through Indeed with your up-to-date CV.
