PRISM Integrative Veterinary Health | Monmouth County, NJFull-Time, Salaried | $70,000–$80,000 + Benefits + Performance Bonus OpportunityPRISM Integrative Veterinary Health is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Technician with strong leadership and operational skills to join our growing integrative veterinary practice.This is a unique hybrid position for someone who loves veterinary medicine but is also ready to take meaningful ownership of how a practice operates.Approximately 60% of the role will remain hands-on and clinical, with approximately 40% dedicated to team leadership and practice operations. Responsibilities will be integrated throughout a five-day workweek rather than divided into strictly clinical and administrative days.We are looking for someone who doesn't simply wait to be told what needs to be done.The right person notices problems, asks good questions, develops solutions, follows through, and enjoys making a practice simpler, more efficient, more organized, and less dependent on its owner for day-to-day decisions.What You'll OwnTeam Leadership & AccountabilityYou will serve as the day-to-day operational leader for our support team, including:Staff scheduling and coverageOnboarding and trainingPerformance feedback and reviewsEmployee accountability and follow-throughRoutine employee concerns and conflict resolutionTeam meetings and communicationRecruiting and interviewingSupporting a positive, accountable workplace cultureYou should be comfortable having both supportive and difficult conversations and following through when expectations are not being met.Clinical OperationsAs a Senior Veterinary Technician, you will remain actively involved in patient care while helping ensure our clinical team operates effectively.Responsibilities include:Hands-on senior veterinary technician responsibilitiesTechnician and assistant workflowTraining and development of clinical support staffAppropriate delegation and team utilizationClinical efficiency and organizationEquipment and treatment-area readinessImplementation of clinical workflows and established SOPsIdentifying and resolving operational bottlenecksPractice OperationsYou will take increasing ownership of PRISM's day-to-day operations, including:Identifying and resolving workflow problemsImproving operational systemsMaintaining appropriate policies and SOPsSupporting inventory and COGS performanceMonitoring staffing and operational efficiencyHelping optimize appointment capacity and doctor utilizationCoordinating operational implementation of new initiativesMonitoring key operational performance indicatorsBringing solutions and recommendations forward rather than waiting for problems to be solved for youOur goal is growth through simplification and organized scaling—not growth through unnecessary complexity.We want someone who makes the practice easier to operate as it grows.Working With Our DoctorsOur Medical Director retains responsibility for medical standards, clinical decision-making, medical protocols, and professional medical oversight.The Clinical Operations Lead is responsible for the operational environment in which our doctors practice, including scheduling, workflow, support-team allocation, operational expectations, efficiency, and implementation of established practice policies.Previous experience successfully providing operational leadership to veterinarians or other professional clinical staff is a strong plus.Who We're Looking ForOur ideal candidate has:Significant veterinary technician experienceStrong technical and patient-care skillsPrevious leadership, supervisory, or operational experienceExcellent judgment and communication skillsConfidence addressing employee performance and accountabilityStrong organizational and problem-solving abilityThe ability to prioritize without requiring constant directionThe ability to identify problems, investigate their cause, and develop solutionsComfort using data and practice metrics to identify opportunitiesA genuine interest in improving both people and systemsA mindset focused on simplification, efficiency, and sustainable growthA desire to grow into greater operational ownership over timeCVT/LVT/RVT credentialing is welcomed but not required.
