This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-centred clinical pharmacy services across a range of medical and surgical specialties.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting safe and effective medicines management, providing expert clinical advice, and contributing to the ongoing development of pharmacy services.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Pharmacy ServicesDeliver a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across designated wards.Work across a variety of specialties, including:RenalUrologyOrthopaedic & Spinal SurgeryColorectal SurgeryGastroenterologyPlastics & Reconstructive SurgeryPerform medicine optimisation on admission and discharge.Facilitate timely patient discharges and continuity of care.Provide evidence-based medicine information and education to patients and healthcare professionals.Promote the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines.Participate in clinical audits and medicines management initiatives.Support the induction and development of pharmacists and pharmacy staff.Dispensary SupportValidate prescriptions and ensure compliance with local policies and best practices.Provide clinical advice regarding medicines use.Undertake final accuracy checking of dispensed medicines.Report medication incidents and near misses.Participate in dispensary audits and quality improvement activities.Education & TrainingSupport the training and development of pharmacy colleagues and wider healthcare professionals.Train junior pharmacists and ward technicians.Participate in annual appraisal and professional development processes.Maintain mandatory and statutory training requirements.Essential RequirementsExperienceMinimum 2 years post-registration experience within a UK hospital pharmacy.Completion of comprehensive hospital pharmacy rotations.Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.QualificationsCurrent registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.Knowledge & SkillsStrong knowledge of current medicines management practices and national guidance.Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.IT literate with intermediate computer skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy clinical environment.Personal AttributesFlexible and adaptable approach.Professional and well-presented.Strong interpersonal skills.Passion for service improvement and supporting colleagues' development.What's on Offer?Opportunity to work within a prestigious private healthcare setting.Exposure to a diverse range of specialist clinical areas.Collaborative multidisciplinary environment.Ongoing professional development opportunities.Interested?Apply today or contact Fel on 07442 038239 for a confidential discussion and further information.
