Participates in all necessary aspects of the medication-use system while providing comprehensive and individualized pharmaceutical care to the patients in their assigned areas. Demonstrates the ability to work in areas of pharmacy practice competently and independentlyManages patient drug therapy in accordance with applicable clinical practice standardsAssures the appropriateness of all provider medication orders in maintaining a high level of patient care and safetyMaintains current knowledge of medication use and disease states applicable to their area of practiceServes as the primary resource for drug information and educationProvides in-depth patient counseling when requiredParticipates in the training of new employees as assignedAssumes local responsibility and ownership for assigned tasksConsistently follows policies and proceduresContinually seeks out additional training opportunities and stays abreast of new and changing information for assigned areasDemonstrates superior customer service, effective communication, decision-making, and organization to ensure efficient job performance and successServes as a role model in the following areas: professionalism, collaboration, and teamwork.Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient careTriages and escalates any questions or issues outside the scope of practice as neededUses appropriate systems for processing of patient informationEnsures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirementsOperates pharmacy equipment appropriatelyPrecepts pharmacy students as assignedIn addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assignedEducationBachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)Certification/LicensureVirginia Pharmacist License (Required)Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)ExperiencePrevious Hospital Experience (Preferred)Residency Trained (Preferred)Keywords: Inpatient Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy, RPh, hospital, acute care, clinical pharmacist, inpatient pharmacist, LinkedIn, Talroo-Allied Health, omnicell, MDR, rounds, sterile compounding,We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $148,304.00 - $214,926.40 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
