Clinical Psychologist

Role Description This full-time, on-site Clinical Psychologist DOH Licence role is based in Al Ain and focuses on delivering evidence-based psychological services to diverse clients. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical interviews, developing case formulations, and providing individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The role involves administering and interpreting psychological tests, preparing clear clinical reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated care plans. The Clinical Psychologist will offer clinical supervision to junior staff or trainees, participate in case conferences, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. The position also includes maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to ethical and regulatory standards, and participating in ongoing professional development activities.Qualifications Strong foundation in Psychology and Counseling Psychology, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice.Proficiency in Psychological Testing, including selecting appropriate tools, administering assessments, and interpreting results.Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.Experience in Clinical Supervision, supporting the development and performance of junior clinicians or trainees.Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Valid license or eligibility for licensure/registration as a Clinical Psychologist in the relevant jurisdiction.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.Strong ethical judgment, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, patient-centered care.Ability to manage clinical caseloads, maintain detailed records, and use electronic health record systems.Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or community mental health settings in the region is an advantage.
