Apply & track with Apply EdgeClinical Psychologist - Child & Adolescent Primary Care PsychologyWe are seeking experienced and motivated Clinical Psychologists to join a Child & Adolescent Primary Care Psychology ServiceThese opportunities would suit experienced Staff Grade or Senior Psychologists who are looking to develop their career within a multidisciplinary child and adolescent mental health setting.The successful candidate will provide psychological assessment and intervention to children and young people presenting with a range of emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.While Clinical Psychology is the preferred qualification, applications from appropriately experienced Counselling Psychologists will also be considered. Educational Psychologists may also be considered where they have substantial relevant experience in child and adolescent mental health and are not newly qualified.Locations are flexible, within reason. Base will be either Balbriggan, Swords, Portmarnock, Kilbarrack, Coolock. Final decision on base will take account of service needs and (if a major issue) staff member's potential commuteKey Responsibilities of Clinical Psychologist - Child & Adolescent Primary Care PsychologyProvide psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention to children and adolescents.Work collaboratively with children, young people, parents/carers and other professionals.Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment, care planning and case management.Provide consultation and psychological support to colleagues and other professionals where appropriate.Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HSE policies and professional standards.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, service development and clinical governance activities.Contribute to the development and delivery of psychologically informed services within Primary Care.Work in accordance with relevant professional, ethical and HSE standards.Manage a clinical caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.Essential Requirements of Clinical Psychologist - Child & Adolescent Primary Care PsychologyApplicants must hold a recognised Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent professional qualification recognised in Ireland) and be eligible for registration with the relevant professional bodyRelevant experience working with children and/or adolescents, ideally within a mental health or Primary Care setting.Experience in psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based psychological intervention.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Good organisational and case-management skills.Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.Preferred ExperiencePreference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate:Previous experience working at Staff Grade or Senior level.Experience within child and adolescent mental health services.Experience in a Primary Care Psychology setting.Experience working with families and across multidisciplinary teams.Experience providing evidence-based psychological interventions to children and young people.
