Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob DescriptionUprise Psychology & Wellness is seeking a clinical psychologist and/or senior doctoral student in clinical psychology with a passion and interest for developing their clinical practice in CBT and Third Wave Psychology approaches to join our growing and thriving practice in Ottawa, ON. Given the growing need for services, especially in-person, our clinic is expanding both our team and our physical space to a new, larger location downtown that will better accommodate our current needs and support future growth.TasksProvide psychological assessments and psychotherapy services to clients mostly in-personConduct sessions utilizing evidence-based interventionsDevelop, implement, and regularly evaluate case formulations and treatment plans according to individual clientUse the practice management tools for scheduling and record keepingProvide supporting documents to third parties when necessaryMaintain a high level of clinical competence by participating in clinical supervision and/orconsultation, professional development, and clinical training opportunitiesParticipate in team meetings as well as minor additional practice-related meetings, training and/or tasksRequirementsThe successful candidate must:Have obtained or in the final stages of completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D., Psy.D.)Be registered with good standing, or will be eligible for registration, with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts Have professional liability insurance coverageHave significant training and a key interest and commitment to further developing their therapy skills within CBT and Third Wave approachesHave a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration with other therapistsHave experience and/or an interest in developing in the areas of speciality of the practice, including body image concerns, disordered eating and/or perinatal mental health would be considered an assetEnglish is essential, bilingualism would be considered a strong assetAbility to offer psychological services mostly in-person from our downtown officeWe can offer you:A full client caseload with adolescent and/or adult clients struggling from a variety of mental health concernsRegular clinical supervision or clinical consultation with Dr. Melisa Arias-Valenzuela, C.
