Clinical Psychology Professor

City University Ajman is seeking a qualified and experienced Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology to contribute to academic teaching, clinical practice, student supervision, research, and academic quality assurance. The ideal candidate must hold a valid clinical psychology licence, have relevant practical clinical experience, and demonstrate proficiency in teaching and professional communication in both Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery: Deliver high-quality courses in Clinical Psychology and related areas, using evidence-based teaching methods and practical clinical examples.Clinical Practice & Supervision: Apply clinical expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions, and supervise students during clinical training and field placements.Research & Academic Development: Conduct research, publish scholarly work, supervise student research projects, and contribute to academic development initiatives.Academic Quality & Accreditation: Contribute to curriculum development, academic quality assurance, program reviews, and compliance with relevant accreditation requirements.Clinical & Community Engagement: Support collaboration with healthcare providers, clinical institutions, and community organizations to strengthen practical training and professional engagement.Required Qualifications & Experience:Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited and recognized university.Mandatory Clinical Licence: A valid professional licence in Clinical Psychology from health authority (MOHAP, DHA, or DoH is Preferred).Clinical Practice: Demonstrated practical experience in clinical psychology, including psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).Academic Experience: A strong track record of university-level teaching, clinical training, and student supervision.Bilingual Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken proficiency in both Arabic and English, with the ability to teach and communicate effectively in both languages.Research Competence: Knowledge of research methodologies, psychometric assessment, and scholarly publication in Scopus indexed journals.
