We accelerate the discovery and development of therapies withintelligent precision--ultimately improving patient outcomes globally.Location: Walter Reed National Military Center (WRNMC)Position OverviewAzimuth Research Group is seeking a full-time, on-site Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to support clinical research operations within a Department of Defense (DoD) healthcare environment. This role supports clinical studies involving active-duty service members, veterans, and beneficiaries. The Clinical Research Coordinator will work closely with investigators, site personnel, and military research offices to ensure study compliance, participant safety, and data integrity.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting clinical research within military, federal, or highly regulated healthcare environments and possess a strong understanding of clinical trial operations, regulatory compliance, participant safety, and data management.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate operational aspects of clinical research studies across assigned sites, including military treatment facilities.Develop, maintain, and review regulatory documentation, including informed consent forms, protocol amendments, and IRB submissions.Support participant screening, eligibility verification, recruitment tracking, and scheduling.Serve as a primary point of contact for site personnel, investigators, and DoD research offices.Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA, ICH, and DoD Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) requirements.Perform data abstraction from Military Health Systems and ensure accurate entry into EDC systems.Monitor protocol adherence and escalate deviations or safety concerns appropriately.Prepare for and support site visits, audits, and monitoring activities, including follow-up documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Data Science, and Biostatistics.Maintain complete and compliant study records in accordance with Azimuth SOPs and DoD requirements.Contribute to process improvement and quality initiatives across Azimuth’s research operations.Attend study meetings, staff meetings, and investigator meetings as required.Assist with regulatory submissions and ongoing regulatory maintenance activities.Maintain flexibility to support study-related activities that may occur during early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends.Perform protocol procedures as needed, including phlebotomy, ECGs, and biological specimen collection.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of clinical research experience, preferably within DoD, VA, military healthcare, or other federal clinical research environments.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.Highly Desired QualificationsSOCRA or ACRP certification.Experience supporting research within DoD, VA, or federal healthcare environments.Working knowledge of the Military Health System (MHS).Experience with MHS GENESIS (Cerner) or similar electronic health record systems.Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and Human Subjects Research protections.DoD Site RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.Must meet all site access requirements, including maintaining required immunizations.Why Join Azimuth Research Group?If you thrive in a structured, compliance-driven research environment and are passionate about supporting impactful clinical studies within federal healthcare systems, we encourage you to apply.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume to jennf@fhr.solutionsQualified candidates will receive the full position description and additional details upon initial review.
