This position is open for our offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Eindhoven.The Role As part of our continued growth, SDG/ALTEN Nederland is looking for a Cloud Architect to strengthen our data engineering capabilities and contribute to complex, data-driven projects.Position OverviewThe Cloud Architect is responsible for defining, designing, guiding, and overseeing the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality end-to-end solutions within cloud and data-driven environments. The role ensures that solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and future-proof, while balancing business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.This role acts as a key advisor to business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams, translating complex requirements into clear architectural designs and ensuring consistent implementation across projects and platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and design end-to-end solution architectures based on business, information, application, and technical requirementsTranslate business and functional requirements into robust technical designsDefine, document, and maintain architecture deliverablesSupport and guide development teams in implementing architecture and applying best practicesCollaborate with enterprise architects, domain architects, and technical teams to ensure coherenceEnsure quality, security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability are metIdentify and mitigate architectural risks and provide expert-level guidance on complex technical challengesStay up to date with technological developments and translate them into actionable architectural improvementsExperience with IoT platforms, AI-driven solutions, or data-intensive architectures is considered a plusWhat We Look ForCompleted bachelor's degree or master's degree in a relevant field4-5 years of work experience in a similar roleFluent in English.
