Role : AWS Cloud Architect Experience: 8–12 YearsLocation: Sydney; Melbourne; BrisbaneSkills : AWS; EKS; Terraform; Kubernetes; LambdaCertification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional preferred/mandatoryRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design, implement, and govern secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, security, networking, and DevOps.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and define scalable, highly available AWS cloud architectures.Develop cloud migration and modernization strategies for enterprise applications.Architect solutions using EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Route 53, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.Design secure AWS networking, including VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, Transit Gateway, and load balancing.Implement cloud security, governance, identity, access management, and compliance best practices.Define Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.Work closely with DevOps, engineering, security, and application teams.Drive cloud cost optimization, performance improvement, and operational excellence.Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to project teams.Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and best practices.Required Skills8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/cloud engineering, with strong AWS architecture experience.Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and enterprise architecture.Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security, IAM, compute, storage, databases, containers, and serverless technologies.Experience with Terraform / CloudFormation and CI/CD practices.Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, microservices, and API-based architectures.Experience with cloud migration, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity.Strong knowledge of cloud security and AWS Well-Architected Framework.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and solution-design skills.CertificationMandatoryAWS Certified Solutions Architect – ProfessionalAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate may be considered as an additional certification.Other relevant AWS certifications are an advantage.
