Cloud Architect

A Cloud Architect designs, implements, and manages an organization's cloud computing strategy, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals.Core ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Strategy: Design resilient cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across public, private, or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Migration & Deployment: Lead legacy system migrations to the cloud and oversee system deployment pipelines.Security & Compliance: Implement zero-trust security frameworks, identity access management (IAM), and maintain regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud consumption, manage FinOps strategies, and optimize resources to control spending.Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with DevOps, security, and software development teams to guide technical execution and establish cloud best practices.Key Technical Skills & QualificationsCloud Platforms: Deep expertise in at least one major platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.Networking & Security: Strong understanding of virtual networks, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and cloud security protocols.
