Ltd. is looking for a senior and experienced Cloud Architect to design, modernize, migrate, secure, and optimize cloud infrastructure for large-scale Government, PSU, BFSI, enterprise, e-commerce, AI-enabled, web, and mobile application projects.The candidate will be responsible for defining end-to-end cloud architecture across AWS, Microsoft Azure, private cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in cloud migration, high availability, disaster recovery, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, security compliance, and cost optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud architectures.Define architecture for public cloud, private cloud, government cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployments.Lead cloud assessment, application migration, database migration, modernization, and data-centre-to-cloud initiatives.Prepare cloud migration strategies using rehost, re-platform, refactor, relocate, retain, or retire approaches.Design multi-tier environments covering web servers, application servers, databases, load balancers, storage, caching, queues, and API gateways.Create secure network architectures using VPC/VNet, public and private subnets, routing, NAT gateways, VPNs, firewalls, WAFs, and security groups.Design containerized and microservices-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.Define high-availability, backup, business continuity, and disaster-recovery architectures aligned with project RTO and RPO requirements.Establish DevSecOps practices, including automated builds, testing, security scanning, approvals, deployment, and rollback.Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, Bicep, or equivalent technologies.Design identity and access management using IAM, RBAC, SSO, MFA, Active Directory, and Azure Entra ID.Establish centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, audit trails, and performance-management mechanisms.Implement cloud security controls covering encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management, patching, endpoint protection, and privileged access.Review existing cloud environments and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, security, and cost.Design secure hosting environments for Government and PSU applications requiring private subnets, restricted access, VPN connectivity, audit logging, and data residency.Support cloud infrastructure for AI/ML, document management, analytics, GIS, ERP, CRM, portals, mobile applications, and high-traffic event platforms.Prepare cloud architecture diagrams, bills of materials, sizing documents, migration plans, deployment runbooks, security documents, and cost estimates.Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, solution demonstrations, bid submissions, and pre-sales activities.Coordinate with application, database, cybersecurity, DevOps, networking, and project-management teams.Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, mentoring, and review support to delivery teams.Manage coordination with cloud service providers, managed service providers, OEMs, auditors, and data-centre teams.Required Technical SkillsStrong expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure; working knowledge of both is preferred.In-depth understanding of compute, storage, networking, databases, load balancing, CDN, DNS, monitoring, backup, and disaster-recovery services.Strong knowledge of cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, firewalls, WAF, and private endpoints.Experience with Linux and Windows Server administration in cloud environments.Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container registries, and managed Kubernetes services.Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management practices.Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB.Knowledge of database migration, replication, backup, restoration, performance optimization, and high availability.Understanding of microservices, API gateways, messaging systems, caching, and distributed applications.Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or equivalent platforms.Strong understanding of cloud security, zero-trust architecture, identity management, encryption, key management, and security operations.Working knowledge of FinOps, cloud budgeting, resource tagging, utilization monitoring, reserved capacity, and cost optimization.Familiarity with AI/ML cloud services, GPU workloads, object storage, data lakes, and retrieval-based AI applications will be advantageous.Governance and Compliance KnowledgeThe candidate should have experience designing environments aligned with applicable standards and project requirements, including:ISO 27001 and information-security controlsCERT-In guidelines and audit requirementsMeitY/GIGW requirements for Government applicationsData localization and data-residency requirementsDPDP Act-aligned privacy and security controlsOWASP security practicesBackup, retention, audit-log, RTO, and RPO requirementsVulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing coordinationSecurity Operations Centre and Security Information and Event Management integrationExperience RequirementsMinimum 10 years of overall IT infrastructure or cloud experience.At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, migration, or modernization roles.Proven experience designing and deploying production-grade enterprise cloud environments.Experience handling large Government, PSU, BFSI, or enterprise projects is highly preferred.Demonstrated experience with high-availability, disaster-recovery, security-compliant, and business-critical systems.Experience preparing technical proposals, infrastructure sizing, cloud cost estimations, and tender responses.Ability to manage multiple projects and provide architectural oversight across different technology stacks.Educational QualificationB.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/MCA or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.Preferred CertificationsOne or more of the following certifications will be preferred:AWS Certified Solutions Architect – ProfessionalMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertCertified Information Systems Security Professional or equivalent security certificationKey CompetenciesEnterprise cloud architecture and technical leadershipStrong analytical and troubleshooting capabilitiesClient communication and stakeholder managementArchitecture documentation and presentation skillsTechnical estimation and commercial awarenessRisk identification and mitigation planningTeam mentoring and cross-functional coordinationOwnership of critical production environmentsAbility to translate business requirements into practical cloud solutions
