Apply & track with Apply EdgeCloud Architecture LeaderFull-Time | Direct HireClient Opportunity through Provisions GroupABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYProvisions Group is partnering with one of our healthcare clients to identify an experienced Cloud Architecture Leader for a full-time leadership position.This is a player-coach role for someone who can lead a technical team while remaining close enough to the technology to evaluate architecture, identify risk, challenge technical decisions, and help turn cloud and infrastructure strategy into day-to-day execution.The position will oversee a multidisciplinary team supporting Microsoft Azure, infrastructure, networking, identity and access management, security, and operational resiliency.MUST-HAVES1. Microsoft Azure & Infrastructure ExpertiseStrong Azure experience across compute, storage, networking, identity, governance, and cost management, along with experience supporting hybrid and traditional infrastructure environments.2. Technical & People LeadershipExperience leading cloud, infrastructure, systems, network, or identity engineers, including coaching, performance management, setting expectations, and building accountability.3. Identity & Access ManagementStrong experience with enterprise IAM, including Okta, SSO, MFA, RBAC, lifecycle management, and privileged access management.4. At least one of the Certs below:4. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert5. Healthcare / HIPAA ExperienceDirect experience working within a HIPAA-regulated healthcare environment, including disaster recovery, security controls, audit readiness, and business continuity.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead execution of the organization’s cloud and infrastructure strategy, with Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud platform.Oversee Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, governance, security, and cost management.Provide architectural oversight and technical leadership across cloud and infrastructure initiatives.Lead and develop a team of approximately 6–7 engineers across systems, networking, and identity.Drive cloud cost management and FinOps practices, including tagging, rightsizing, optimization, and spend accountability.Oversee server, virtualization, storage, and hybrid infrastructure environments.Lead IAM operations including Okta, SSO, MFA, provisioning, privileged access, and lifecycle management.Partner with Information Security to support Zero Trust, HIPAA, HITRUST, and security requirements.Oversee disaster recovery planning, testing, runbooks, and RTO/RPO requirements.Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve reliability and efficiency.Maintain strong monitoring, incident, change management, and ITSM practices.Communicate infrastructure health, risk, priorities, and roadmap needs to technology leadership and business stakeholders.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, network engineering, or a related discipline.2+ years in a technical team lead or management role.Strong Microsoft Azure experience.Experience with Okta and enterprise IAM/PAM environments.Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V, server infrastructure, and enterprise storage.Working knowledge of networking, cloud connectivity, segmentation, and Zero Trust.Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, RTO/RPO, and operational runbooks.Practical cloud cost management or FinOps experience.Direct experience in a HIPAA-regulated healthcare environment.Strong communication, coaching, and people leadership skills.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONSMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect ExpertExperience with HITRUST and healthcare security controls.Azure Monitor, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, or similar platforms.Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, Ansible, or other automation/IaC tools.ITIL or similar ITSM experience.Experience with cloud tenant consolidation, M&A, or infrastructure rationalization.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for someone who enjoys leading people without getting too far away from the technology.You should be technically strong enough to ask the right questions, evaluate architectural decisions, recognize risk, and guide experienced engineers while building a culture of accountability and collaboration.The ideal candidate can move comfortably between detailed technical conversations and leadership discussions while keeping reliability, security, cost, and business needs at the center of decision-making.
