About the RoleGenAirate Technologies builds SnapLine, an AI-powered submission intelligence platform that converts unstructured broker submissions, emails, PDFs, Excel files, images, into structured, decision-ready data for underwriters. Built for Lloyd's and the London Market, SnapLine is now expanding into US specialty insurance.We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to build and maintain scalable infrastructure for SnapLine's document processing pipeline, working alongside our senior infra team as submission volume grows.What You'll DoBuild and maintain infrastructure that handles high volumes of document processing (PDFs, Excel files, images) reliably and at scaleDesign and implement caching and indexing strategies to keep processing and retrieval fast as volume growsSupport inference infrastructure for our extraction models, thinking about latency, throughput, and costDeploy and manage services across AWS and GCP (ECS, IAM, VPC, Pub/Sub, Firestore)Set up and maintain observability: logging, metrics, and dashboards using Grafana and Prometheus, so issues get caught before customers notice themBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for reliable, repeatable deploymentsHelp maintain infrastructure documentation and controls supporting our SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certificationsMonitor system health, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot production issuesWhat We're Looking For2 to 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps rolesHands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP (containers, IAM, networking basics)Experience designing infrastructure for high-volume data or document processing workloadsPractical experience with caching (Redis or similar) and indexing strategiesExperience setting up monitoring and observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent)Comfort with Git-based workflows and CI/CD toolsBasic scripting ability (Python or Bash) for automation and toolingGood instincts around security basics: access control, secrets management, least privilegeBonus PointsExperience with inference infrastructure for ML models (batching, queuing, autoscaling)Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)Interest in insurtech or other regulated, related financial industriesWhat We're Not Looking ForCandidates looking purely for a maintenance role. This is a growing infra function handling real production load, and you'll get exposure to meaningful architecture decisions early, but you should be comfortable learning fast rather than needing everything spelled out.
