Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Cloud Operations Manager is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing the stability, security, and performance of cloud-based infrastructure and services that support the organization’s digital initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring cloud environments, managing deployments, and coordinating incident response to ensure high availability and reliability of services. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external providers, optimizing resource usage, and implementing best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and compliance. The Cloud Operations Manager will define and refine operational procedures, support the integration of new digital tools and platforms, and produce clear documentation and reports for leadership. This position also contributes to continuous improvement by analyzing operational data, proposing enhancements, and aligning cloud operations with the organization’s goals for responsible and sustainable digital transformation.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Operations and Operations Management skills to oversee cloud environments, workflows, and service reliability.Candidates should possess Supervisory Skills to coordinate activities, guide technical partners, and ensure adherence to operational standards.Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and recommend data-informed improvements.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and public-sector stakeholders.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code or automation tools is highly beneficial.Knowledge of security, compliance, and data protection principles in a public or regulated environment is an asset.Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities in a part-time schedule, and document processes clearly.A relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT, cloud engineering, systems administration, or a related field is preferred.
