The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, applications, modernization initiatives, and hybrid cloud solutions.This role will focus on IT modernization and transformation for Data Center Operations, working closely with technology leadership, enterprise architects, development teams, portfolio managers, business stakeholders, and other partners.🔹 Minimum Required QualificationsCandidates should have 7+ years of experience in the following areas:Knowledge of computer systems, IT equipment, programming languages, hardware/software, and operating systems.Strong understanding of modern cloud technologies and analytical services from major cloud providers.Strong knowledge of cloud delivery models including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP cloud services.Strong understanding of cloud-based network design principles.Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.Excellent technical writing and diagramming skills using tools such as Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience architecting software development, data analytics, performance management, or data warehousing solutions.Ability to analyze technology capabilities, limitations, defects, and business problems and develop innovative solutions.Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, microservices, and Kubernetes architecture, including deployment, scaling, and maintenance.Experience supporting Kubernetes clusters and serverless infrastructure, including APIs and cloud infrastructure integrations.Experience with cloud automation using Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.Experience with cloud performance monitoring, auditing, logging, and operations tools such as:Sysdig Secure (CNAPP)DynatraceAWS CloudWatchGCP Cloud OperationsAzure MonitorOCI MonitoringStrong automation skills using Bash, KornShell, PowerShell, Cloud CLI, Kubernetes Helm, and third-party tools.Experience with YAML, JSON, Ruby, HCL, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Docker, and Terraform.Ability to work under pressure, manage overlapping deadlines, and handle multiple cross-agency projects.Ability to coordinate multiple assignments/projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.Ability to lead and provide direction to team members.Ability to lead the processes, and big data frameworks.🔹 Key ResponsibilitiesLead DCO Service Delivery strategic initiatives supporting project delivery and steady-state operations.Develop architectural blueprints, network topologies, and technical specifications aligned with business requirements and cloud services.Lead cloud engineering initiatives and deliver technology solutions addressing business needs.Perform advanced systems analysis, assess user requirements, review procedures, and identify system improvements.Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including migration from on-premises environments to public, private, and hybrid clouds.Plan and schedule system studies and implementations while providing technical and business process guidance.Lead cross-functional initiatives involving agency systems, IT groups, and state entities.Evaluate and present architectural options for effective technology solutions.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and integration pipelines to improve deployment consistency and scalability.Design solutions that comply with applicable data security requirements.Establish security measures and manage identity and access controls.Ensure systems align with applicable regulations, including HIPAA, and organizational best practices.Design, develop, and administer highly scalable cloud-based systems with reporting and full system integration.Lead solution implementation, troubleshooting, systems analysis, coding/revision, testing, installation, and deployment.Develop and revise technical standards and procedures.Define current and desired technical states, identify gaps, and develop strategies to close those gaps.Collaborate with IT teams on technical recommendations and IT planning.Support development of training for technical and program staff before implementation of new technologies or data analytics platforms.Conduct technical and program staff training when required.Perform other duties as assigned.
