Cloud Specialist

Key Responsibilities & Requirements5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS Cloud environments.Analyze existing application infrastructure and recommend architecture improvements to enhance scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.Define, document, and implement cloud infrastructure standards, deployment strategies, and operational best practices.Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and/or Amazon ECS (Elastic Container Service).Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.Experience in designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.Strong understanding of core AWS services including:Compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS)Storage (S3, EFS)Databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora)Networking and Security ServicesExposure to serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, AWS SAM, API Gateway, and event-driven solutions is highly preferred.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational tasks.Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, network security, compliance, and security best practices.Experience in cloud optimization, monitoring, logging, performance tuning, and cost management using AWS-native and third-party tools.Proven experience in planning and executing cloud migration projects, including migration assessments, roadmap creation, effort estimation, and execution.Understanding of AWS Landing Zone, multi-account strategy, governance, and automated cloud environment provisioning.Experience implementing high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions on AWS.Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.Preferred QualificationsAWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, or AWS SysOps Administrator.Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Datadog.Exposure to FinOps practices and AWS cost optimization strategies.Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
