قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجJob Description: Accounting Manager (IFRS & Group Consolidations)Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Department: Finance & AccountingIndustry: Energy & TechnologyAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly technical and operational Accounting Manager to lead our day-to-day accounting functions across an international group structure. Operating in the dynamic energy and technology sectors, this role requires a hands-on professional who excels in full-cycle accounting, group consolidations, and the strict application of IFRS standards.Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as the operational backbone of the finance department, managing and mentoring a small accounting team (3-4 members) while ensuring our books are closed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with international standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Close & ReportingLead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring tight deadlines are consistently met.Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and trial balances.Produce accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for an international group with multiple legal entities.Technical Accounting & IFRS ComplianceServe as the internal subject matter expert on IFRS treatments, ensuring all financial reporting complies with international standards.Apply accounting treatments specifically related to IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) for our consulting and service contracts, and IFRS 16 (Leases) for our operational facilities and equipment.Manage the accounting lifecycle for Intangible Assets (IAS 38), ensuring proper capitalization, amortization, and impairment testing relevant to our technology operations.Research and document technical accounting memos for new or complex transactions.Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing audit schedules and statutory financial statements.Review and prepare all tax related filings; Zakah, VAT, WHT, and Income taxes where applicable. Group Consolidations & Multi-CurrencyManage intercompany transactions, billing, and reconciliations across international subsidiaries.Handle multi-currency accounting, ensuring accurate foreign exchange (FX) translations and revaluations across the group.Systems & Team LeadershipManage and optimize our financial processes within the Zoho ecosystem or any future accounting system that the company may choose to use. Directly manage, train, and mentor a team of 3-4 accounting professionals, delegating tasks and reviewing their work to ensure high quality and accuracy.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.Experience: 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on the month-end close, technical accounting, and consolidations.IFRS Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of IFRS standards, specifically IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IAS 38 (Intangible Assets), and the ability to apply them to complex real-world scenarios.Group Accounting: Proven experience handling multi-currency consolidations and intercompany reconciliations for an international group.Leadership: Prior experience or a strong demonstrated capability to review work and manage junior staff.Systems: Proficiency in modern cloud-based ERP systems (experience with Zoho is a plus).Professional Certification: Must hold an active SOCPA Fellowship. Candidates without this certification will not be considered. Preferred (But Not Required)Other professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA).
