Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support on AI-related matters, including data privacy, intellectual property, licensing, and regulatory complianceDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including technology licensing, SaaS, partnership, and vendor agreementsMonitor and analyze evolving AI regulations and policies across key jurisdictions, particularly in Singapore, China, and the broader Asia-Pacific regionAdvise on cross-border transactions and ensure compliance with local and international lawsCollaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to identify and mitigate legal risks in AI product development and deploymentManage external counsel and legal budgets as neededSupport corporate governance, M&A, and other strategic initiatives as required

Requirements

Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution5+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experienceStrong knowledge of AI, data privacy, intellectual property, and technology lawFluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required – ability to draft and negotiate legal documents in both languagesExperience working in or with the Asia-Pacific region is highly preferredExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentQualified to practice law in Singapore or a common law jurisdiction
