CNC Foreman

The CNC Lead is responsible for setting up, programming, and running complex precision machining operations from raw material through finished components. This hands-on role requires expertise in CNC milling, turning, fixture design, tooling development, and process optimization. The CNC Lead will independently develop machining strategies, create fixtures and tooling using CAM software, and support high-quality production in a precision manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment to produce complex precision components.Manage complete machining processes from bar stock to finished part.Develop and design custom fixtures, workholding solutions, and tooling strategies.Create and modify CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360.Support machining operations across:3-axis milling4-axis milling3+2 machining5-axis milling2-axis CNC turningOptimize machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, repeatability, and cycle times.Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining methods based on material and part requirements.Troubleshoot machining challenges involving tooling, fixturing, programming, and process performance.Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T requirements, and engineering specifications.Support production teams with setup guidance, process improvements, and technical expertise.Maintain a high standard of quality while meeting delivery requirements.Required QualificationsStrong hands-on experience as a CNC Setup Machinist, CNC Programmer, or CNC Lead.Proven ability to independently set up and run complex CNC machining operations.Experience designing and producing fixtures and tooling.Experience programming with CAM software such as:MastercamFusion 360Advanced knowledge of:CNC milling operationsCNC turning operationsWorkholding and fixturingTool selection and optimizationTight-tolerance machiningBlueprint reading and GD&TPreferred QualificationsExperience in a precision machining or aerospace manufacturing environment.Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume production.Ability to lead machining improvements and mentor other machinists.Experience working with complex multi-axis CNC equipment.Compensation & BenefitsBase CompensationHourly Rate: $50.00–$68.00/hour (based on experience and skill level)Employment Status: Non-ExemptOvertime: Paid at 1.5x after 40 hours/weekAnnual Profit-Sharing BonusEligible employees may participate in an annual profit-sharing bonus program.Maximum Bonus: Up to $20,000 annuallyPayment Timing: Paid as a lump sum during the final payroll period before ChristmasMeasurement Period: December 1 – November 30 annuallyBonus payout is based on company performance, including:Annual profitabilityCustomer quality performanceOn-time delivery performanceBonus Performance CriteriaBonus eligibility requires meeting both company performance gates:On-Time Delivery (OTD)Composite customer on-time delivery performance must meet or exceed established company targets.Quality PerformanceCustomer quality expectations must be maintained.No unacceptable customer quality ratings or escapes related to setup, fixturing, or process decisions under the employee’s control.Additional InformationBonus program details are reviewed annually.First-year bonus eligibility may be prorated based on time worked during the measurement period.Position requires active employment at the time of payout.Compensation and bonus structure may vary based on company performance and business conditions.Position Title: CNC LeadClassification: Non-ExemptSchedule: Full-Time, On-SiteEnvironment: Precision Manufacturing / CNC MachiningABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNELDo you need your next job fast?
