Have proficient G and M code knowledge, have experience in CAD/CAM software., part processing, fixture design and work holding knowledge. This candidate must also possess strong leadership skills. This position is on 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 1:00am, Mon - Thu.)OFFERING A $5000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR 2ND SHIFT MACHINISTS!!ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following; however, other duties may apply.)Reads and interprets blueprints and has proficient knowledge of GD&TProperly and safely loads and unloads raw materialsProficient in use of measuring instruments and part layout Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirementsAbility to power on and operate CNC Mills with minimal assistanceProperly uses inserts, fixtures and toolingUnderstands and can perform complex tool wear offsets and work shiftsPerforms daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machineryAssists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environmentProvides feedback and input into process improvement within the departmentProficient understanding and ability to follow manufacturing processes and proceduresUtilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety proceduresComplies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructionsEffectively communicates across all departmentsAttends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful inputIs flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAbility to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques10+ years preferred experience and /or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with CNC MachiningAerospace experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED required, associates or other training preferredAbility to read, write and speak English fluently SKILLSAbility to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful mannerAbility to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situationsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesAbility to move or transfer products with an overhead crane.
