CNC Machinist Lead

We are seeking a Lead CNC Machinist to take ownership of a machining area from programming through production. This is a hands-on role for someone who can run parts, troubleshoot issues, and lead others on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

-Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes-Lead daily activity within an assigned machining area-Optimize cycle times, tooling, and workflows-Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues-Train and support machinists and operators-Read and interpret blueprints, models, and work instructions-Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges-Select speeds, feeds, tooling, and workholding-Maintain organized tooling, programs, and setups-Work with engineering and production to improve processes

Requirements

-5+ years CNC machining experience-Strong experience with CNC milling and turning-CNC programming experience (preferably using Mastercam)-Ability to lead others and take ownership of production output-Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T-Experience with setups, tooling, and process improvementPreferred:-Experience in high-mix, low-to-mid volume production-Prior leadership or team lead experience-Experience improving cycle times and reducing scrap
