CNC machinist/programmer

Job Title: CNC Machinist/Programmer Location: Livermore, CA ( On-Site)Job Type: Full-Time We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to set up, operate, and program multi-axis CNC mills and lathes for precision manufacturing. The role involves working with complex geometries, tight tolerances, and exotic materials in a high-precision machine shop environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and optimize multi-axis CNC machines, including 5-axis equipment.Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAD/CAM software.Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.Select appropriate tooling, work-holding, feeds, and speeds.Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools.Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or machine adjustments.Maintain equipment and follow all safety and quality procedures.Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvement and production efficiency.QualificationsStrong CNC machining, setup, and programming experience.Experience with 5-axis/multi-axis machining and CNC mills/lathes.Proficiency in G-code and CAD/CAM programming.Strong knowledge of GD&T, precision measurement, and machining principles.Experience machining exotic metals, complex parts, and tight-tolerance components.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Precision machine shop experience preferred.Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed.
