CNC technician

Job PurposeThe CNC technician will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components used in oilfield drilling and completion tools. The technician ensures all machining tasks meet the specifications, quality standards, and deadlines, and collaborates with team members to optimize productivity and equipment performance.Duties and responsibilities1.Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, and grinders) to produce the components of oilfield drilling and completion tools.2.Interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM models..3.Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain tolerances and surface finishes.4.Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure quality compliance.5.Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any technical issues.6.Collaborate with engineers and workshop supervisors to improve machining processes.7.Document production data and machine logs accurately.8.Ensure all parts are produced within industry specifications and quality control standards.9.Maintain a clean and organized work environment following safety protocols. Qualifications 1.Have diploma in CNC machining or mechanical engineering.2.Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC machines, preferably in an oilfield drilling and completion tools area.3.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.4.Technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.5.Good verbal and written communication skills in English.6.Have basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc).7.Good communication and interpersonal skills.
