CO-FOUNDER, AI LEADERSHIP PRACTICEGlocap | New YorkThis role is open to remote, in-person (New York), or hybrid arrangements.THE OPPORTUNITYEvery boardroom is asking the same question: Who should lead AI at our company, and how do we build the right team?For private equity firms and portfolio companies, asset managers, manufacturers, consumer businesses, professional services firms and healthcare organizations, the challenge is not simply adopting AI. It is finding the right people to turn AI into real business results.Glocap has spent three decades placing exceptional people in investment firms and the companies they own. We are launching a new practice focused on helping businesses outside the technology sector recruit AI leaders and build AI teams at every level. We are looking for a Co-Founder to build it alongside a senior Glocap partner.Your partner will lead client development and bring longstanding relationships with CEOs, investors, operating partners and boards. You will lead the talent side: knowing who the exceptional AI builders and operators are, evaluating their real technical achievements, and helping clients assemble the teams they need.This is not a recruiting job that happens to involve AI. It is an AI job whose product is people.WHAT YOU WILL DO- Build a deep network of outstanding AI talent across frontier labs, applied-AI startups, big tech, consulting practices and early AI adopters.- Evaluate candidates engineer to engineer and distinguish actual production experience from impressive vocabulary.- Help CEOs and investors define the AI leadership their business needs, whether that is a Head of AI, Chief AI Officer, AI Operating Partner or another executive profile.- Help clients build complete AI teams, placing engineers, applied researchers, product leaders and other AI specialists at every level, not only the top executive.- Build enduring relationships with candidates; understand their motivation and pair them with the right opportunities.- Use AI-native tools and workflows to rethink sourcing, research, outreach and assessment.- Co-develop the practice's strategy, positioning, pricing, hiring and economics.WHO YOU AREYou are an AI builder who genuinely loves people. You have technical credibility, strong judgment, unusual curiosity about others, and the ambition to create a business rather than simply take another job.Ideally, you have:- A strong technical foundation in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or a related discipline.- Hands-on AI or machine-learning experience, typically around two to five years, including shipping real LLM or applied-AI products or systems.- Deep engagement with new models and tools, with opinions grounded in firsthand use.- An instinct for asking good questions, building trust and connecting people.- The ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear business language.- The maturity to advise senior executives and the entrepreneurial drive to build from an early stage.Prior recruiting experience is not required.
