We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, technically capable Co-founder & CEO to lead the company day to day and turn that vision into a compelling product and sustainable business.This is a hands-on founding opportunity for someone who can build, launch, sell, and make decisions. Someone who sees how AI can give a small company extraordinary capabilities and has the experience to put that into practice.The world we’re creatingBLUMY FRIENDS brings together characters, stories, music, and playful learning to support children’s emotional well-being, confidence, resilience, and belonging.We want children with different ways of thinking and learning, including neurodivergent children, to feel understood and included. We also want to translate age-appropriate ideas from health optimization and lifelong well-being into practical habits children and families can use.Our ambition is an enduring children’s universe, with the imaginative depth and emotional connection that make beloved franchises stay with people for a lifetime.We envision books, music, web and mobile experiences, TV series, movies, toys, and other physical products that children can make part of their everyday lives.The first digital experience could offer short, character-led journeys that help children explore emotions, practice a healthy habit, or build confidence through a real-world challenge. The engaging learning rhythms of Duolingo and Khan Academy offer inspiration.We have characters, creative materials, music, and concepts to build from. You will help determine the strongest starting point, test it with families, and build from evidence.Your roleYou will lead BLUMY FRIENDS day to day, with ownership of execution across the product and business.The existing founders, Claudia and Nataly, will contribute through strategic guidance, creative direction, subject-matter expertise, relationships, and the public voice of the brand. We are looking for the operating partner who can bring sustained daily focus and leadership.You will:Set a focused strategy. Choose the initial audience, customer need, product scope, and business model, then translate those decisions into clear priorities.Build and lead the right team. Identify capability gaps, recruit selectively, and lead employees, contractors, and specialist partners with clear priorities and accountability. Keep the company lean while ensuring the right expertise is in place.Build and launch. Personally prototype and drive the delivery of a reliable web and mobile product, using strong technical judgment and AI-assisted development.Find paying customers. Lead customer discovery, positioning, pricing, partnerships, and early sales. Establish why families or schools would choose BLUMY FRIENDS and pay for it.Make the company AI-native. Build and connect specialized AI agents for research, sales support, customer service, onboarding, content operations, reporting, and technical workflows.Keep operations lean. Use automation and targeted specialist support so progress does not depend on building large departments.Own the economics. Manage budgets, operating costs, revenue priorities, and runway. Develop and lead a funding strategy when appropriate.Build trust into the product. Work with the founders and relevant specialists to make child safety, privacy, accessibility, and parent oversight part of the experience from the beginning.Measure and adapt. Learn from real usage, customer feedback, and commercial results, then make clear decisions about what to improve, stop, or expand.You should be comfortable moving between a product demo, a customer conversation, an agent workflow, and a financial forecast.Who we’re looking forYou have built something real and taken responsibility for whether it succeeds.You bring:Founder or operating leadership experience. You have helped take a company or product from an early stage to launch, customers, and revenue, with clear accountability for outcomes.Hands-on technical capability. You can prototype, evaluate architecture, work directly with code and integrations, and drive reliable web and mobile delivery.Demonstrated AI fluency. You have built useful AI agents and automated workflows, and can explain their tools, results, costs, limitations, and oversight.Commercial judgment. You know how to test demand, reach customers, price an offering, and distinguish encouraging feedback from willingness to pay.Execution discipline. You can narrow a broad vision into an achievable first release and make progress with limited resources.A connection to the mission. You care deeply about children’s well-being and designing for different ways of thinking and learning.The capacity to lead daily. You want an operating co-founder role and can make a substantial, sustained commitment.A strong track record of hiring and leading teams. You have recruited exceptional people, built effective teams, set clear expectations, and held people accountable for results. You know when to hire, when to bring in specialist support, and when AI or automation can meet the need.Especially valuable:Experience founding and exiting a business.Familiarity with the U.S. education market or products sold to families.Experience with children’s media, consumer subscriptions, interactive learning, or character-based brands.Experience creating accessible products for neurodivergent users.A previous exit is welcome, but evidence of building, selling, and delivering matters most. A personal connection to the mission is also welcome; sharing personal or medical information is entirely optional.The opportunityThis is an early-stage Co-founder & CEO opportunity with meaningful equity vesting over time and substantial responsibility for shaping the company.The equity stake, decision-making authority, time commitment, and any cash compensation will be discussed openly and agreed upon together, reflecting the responsibilities of the role and the resources available.We are seeking someone who can commit to day-to-day leadership, ideally full-time.
