Scale To Unicorn helps ambitious businesses acquire customers, automate operations, and scale revenue through performance marketing, AI-powered sales systems, automation, and growth strategy.We are building AI COO — an AI-powered operating system that helps businesses run and grow with less manual intervention.The vision is to move beyond isolated AI tools and workflows toward an intelligent system that understands business context, identifies bottlenecks, executes repetitive operational tasks, monitors performance, and helps founders make better decisions.Our initial approach combines hands-on implementation for real businesses with the development of a scalable software product.The OpportunityWe are looking for a technical co-founder who can turn this vision into a reliable, scalable product.You will own the technology end to end—from architecture and infrastructure to AI agents, integrations, product development, and deployment. You will work directly with the founder to define the product roadmap, validate use cases with customers, and build a technology company rather than a collection of disconnected automations.This is a founding role for someone who wants to build, experiment, ship, and take responsibility for the product's technical direction.Key Responsibilities1. Product & Technology LeadershipDefine the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for AI COO.Convert business problems into scalable product features and technical specifications.Build the core platform, backend services, APIs, databases, and user-facing interfaces.Establish standards for security, reliability, testing, monitoring, and deployment.2. AI Agents & Business AutomationBuild AI agents capable of executing multi-step business workflows with appropriate human oversight.Develop systems for lead qualification, follow-ups, sales pipeline management, reporting, and operational coordination.Integrate LLMs, tool calling, retrieval systems, structured data, and workflow orchestration where appropriate.Implement approval queues, audit logs, permissions, retries, and safeguards for consequential actions.3. Integrations & InfrastructureBuild integrations with GoHighLevel, Google Workspace, Gmail, CRMs, and other business applications.Develop and maintain APIs, webhooks, background jobs, and event-driven workflows.Use tools such as n8n where they accelerate delivery, while identifying components that should eventually become proprietary software.Design a multi-tenant architecture that can support multiple businesses securely.4. Product Validation & ExecutionWork with the founder to identify high-value customer problems and prioritize product features.Turn real client implementations into repeatable, productized capabilities.Ship working prototypes quickly, test them with customers, and improve based on usage and feedback.Balance speed of execution with maintainability and long-term scalability.5. Build the Engineering TeamEstablish engineering processes and technical documentation.Recruit and lead engineers as the business grows.Make pragmatic build-versus-buy decisions.Own technical delivery, product reliability, and engineering outcomes.Ideal CandidateYou are likely a strong fit if you:Have built and deployed real software products, AI applications, or automation systems.Are proficient in backend development, API design, databases, and cloud deployment.Understand LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, tool calling, and workflow orchestration.Can independently take a product from an idea to a working MVP.Think like a product builder, not just an engineer executing assigned tickets.Are comfortable working in an early-stage startup with limited resources and considerable ambiguity.Want genuine ownership over technology, product direction, and company-building.Preferred Technical SkillsLanguages: Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.Backend: FastAPI, Node.js, or comparable frameworks.Frontend: React / Next.js.AI: LLM APIs, structured outputs, tool calling, agent frameworks, RAG, and evaluation.Automation: n8n, webhooks, event-driven workflows, and API integrations.Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, vector databases where justified, and data modeling.Infrastructure: Docker, cloud deployment, CI/CD, observability, and application security.You do not need expertise in every technology listed.
