We hit $1M in our first year in 2024, acquiring customers like Paris Hilton, Julia Fox, and Megan Thee Stallion thanks to our agile, limited drop model that involves feedback from customers, new technologies, and predictive data to ensure we only drop what our customers truly want.You'll be the right-hand (wo)man to the cofounder, a creative director and business leader who is equally passionate about innovating shoe designs, creative content, and tech-powered internal systems. Your key objective is to help unlock the brand's full creative potential by managing back-end operations, logistics, and growth marketing implementation. Our stack spans Shopify, Meta ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo, 3PL fulfillment, Clickup and more - and we're looking for a tech-savvy operator who can jump in and make our tools work better, faster, smarter.What You'll OwnThis is an e-commerce operator role for someone who is anything but generic.Management: You make sure our team is dropping products and getting them to happy customers on time, and at the volume needed for growth, doing whatever will help our team work faster and smarter, handling unexpected bottlenecks and production issues, and handling logistics.Shopify Tools: Build or set up tools for clearer marketing attribution, faster returns processing, project management - whatever is needed.Hiring: You'll manage performance and hire marketers as needed with the founder. Paid Ads: Closely oversee cross-channel paid marketing, tracking systems, hiring, ROAS, and its impact on our bottom line.Website: Track website performance and implement CRO strategies - think A/B testing landing pages, restructuring offers, improving product discovery, and moreLogistics: Oversee 3PL logistics and manage customer service processes, carry out new programs to improve our shipping/returns, manage any changes to our supply chainWork with or direct technical resources on Shopify customizations, app integrations, and automationsInternal Operations: Build, deploy, and teach SOPs and tools to systematize our processes, automate ops, reporting, and internal workflows, empowering our team to solve problems and operate efficientlyGrowth: We plan to grow beyond DTC - the ideal partner has an appetite to learn new skills, build new capabilities, and be hands-on with expansion strategies. Who You Are Proven Results within an Early Stage Startup moving from 7 to 8 figures: You've played a key role running a DTC brand and you know how all the pieces connect.5+ years managing operations for an early-stage startup selling physical goods. You know how to build an SOP, you create clarity through chaos, you build dashboards and processes for fun. 4+ Years P&L Management. You've managed budgets, goals, and risk mitigation strategies and know your way around financial statements. You know how to calculate margin impact, scenario plan, and safeguard business growth through strong logical decision-making.5+ Years Production Management: You've manufactured many different physical products overseas at a high level. You're comfortable negotiating terms, solving for bottlenecks, developing QC protocols, monitoring shipping rates, return rates, fulfillment times, and would be comfortable setting up new supply chain capabilities as needed. 4+ Years Shipping Digital Products: You're technical enough to get in and implement — not just flag issues and hand them off. You have put the Agile methodology into practice and know how to de-risk new builds. You know how to filter out a developer with bad code hygiene before it's too late. 4+ Years Shopify Experience: You're comfortable in Shopify and know how to vet apps and plug-ins, create streamlined tagging systems and product metafields, and know how to architect our back-end to drive operational efficiency. Agile Mindset. You know money doesn't grow on trees. It's created through resourcefulness, disciplined planning, and focus on table stakes first. SCRAPPY, BOOTSTRAPPED mentality - we have 1 full time employee (the founder) and several freelancers. You're willing to be truly hands-on in exchange for ownershipAvid experimenter in AI who's eager to build with Claude, Zapier, etc.BONUS: 4+ Years Managing Paid Marketing: You know how to optimize Meta, Google Ads, email marketing, and CRO and how to direct a team's efforts based on inventory, ROAS, and creative testing data. You know the difference between a creative problem and a targeting problem. You've fixed a broken Klaviyo flow and audited a Meta campaign in the same week.You've built sophisticated project management tools on platforms like Clickup that integrate with Slack, Google Workspace, etc.What We're Not Looking ForPeople who come from scale and want to import it. Agencies. Anyone who leads with "at my last company we had a whole team for that." People who can identify problems but can't implement solutions.CompensationRetainer to start + equity with a one-year vesting cliff.
