Company DescriptionBili House is an AI founder residency in Bellevue, WA. We put founders under one roof for the stretch where being in the same room actually matters. We are now building a company from inside the house rather than only funding them. The thesis: embodied AI is bottlenecked on environments, not on model architectures. Real world robot data is slow, expensive, and unsafe to collect at scale, which means whoever makes high fidelity simulation cheap and infinite sits underneath everyone trying to put intelligence into something that moves. That is the company we are starting, and the space we are recruiting into: physical AI, world models, and simulation ready 3D environments for robots and embodied agents.Role DescriptionThe Cofounder, Physical AI is a full time onsite founding role in Bellevue, WA. This is a zero to one seat. There is no product yet, no roadmap to inherit, and no team to manage on day one. You will help pick the wedge, write the first meaningful code, and take the thing from a thesis to something a customer will pay for.Day to day this looks like building and validating the core technical stack, which could mean world models, simulation and rendering pipelines, physics fidelity, sensor simulation, or the evaluation harness that proves any of it works. It also means talking to robotics teams and enterprise buyers from the very first week, running technical discovery, shaping pricing and positioning, and owning a real share of the go to market motion. Some weeks are entirely a rendering pipeline. Others are three customer calls and a partnership conversation. We are a generalist company by design and this role has the widest surface area in it. You get the house's capital, network, and cohort behind you, and founder level equity with the risk and ownership that implies.QualificationsShips production code. You have built and maintained real systems in simulation, graphics, robotics, ML, or distributed infrastructure, and you can still do it yourself rather than delegating it.Comfortable in a Fortune 500 conference room. You can run a technical discovery call, present to executives, and explain a world model to someone who has never heard the term, without hiding behind a deck. Background in AI, simulation, systems engineering, robotics, graphics, or a closely related technical domain, ideally connecting digital models to real world operations or hardware.Strong analytical and research instincts. You can design an experiment, judge whether a model is actually right, and iterate without waiting for direction.Direct experience with sales, customer discovery, or GTM. You are willing to carry a number, not just support someone who does.Proven ability to operate at the earliest stage of a company: high ambiguity, fast iteration, no clean role boundaries, and no one to hand work to.Prior experience building products or companies, ideally in AI, data, simulation, or enterprise software.Degree in engineering, computer science, physics, etc from a top university.
