NoorBasira also builds Spark Education, a free learning platform for children without enrolment fees, certificates, or donations. The company is a small, founder-led studio with more than 15 years of enterprise finance-systems experience, operating from Dubai Silicon Oasis and developing products carefully and in public.Role Description The Co-Founder Tax Professional will play a key role in shaping the tax capabilities and direction of NoorBasira’s finance products, especially Fawateer. This is a co-founder position, working on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with shared responsibility for strategy, product integrity, and client outcomes. Day-to-day, the role includes interpreting UAE VAT and related tax regulations, reviewing and validating tax logic in the software, and ensuring that AI outputs align with current legal and compliance standards. The Co-Founder Tax Professional will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design workflows, draft clear user guidance, and refine tax scenarios based on real-world business use cases. The role also involves engaging with prospective users, explaining the product’s tax behavior, contributing to sales and marketing conversations, and representing the company in professional and regulatory discussions as needed.Qualifications Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret UAE VAT and tax regulations and apply them to practical business scenarios.Clear and confident communication skills for explaining complex tax concepts to non-specialists and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.Sales-related abilities, such as engaging potential clients, understanding their tax workflows, and supporting product demonstrations.Marketing awareness, including contributing to positioning, messaging, and content that accurately reflects the product’s tax capabilities and limitations.Research skills for tracking regulatory changes, reviewing FTA guidance, and benchmarking best practices in tax technology and compliance.Professional experience in UAE tax practice (VAT and related areas), preferably in advisory, compliance, or corporate finance roles.Relevant academic or professional qualifications in accounting, finance, tax, or a closely related discipline (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA or local equivalents).Comfort working in a small, founder-led environment, with a willingness to take
