COBOL Developer

Job Title: COBOL DeveloperLocation: Irvine, CA (Hybrid/Onsite) Contract role Job Summary:We are looking for a COBOL Developer responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications running on mainframe systems.Key Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain COBOL programs and applications.• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.• Write, test, debug, and modify COBOL code.• Work with JCL, DB2, CICS, and other mainframe technologies.• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support.• Perform unit testing and assist with system/integration testing.• Prepare technical documentation.• Work with business analysts, testers, and other development teams.Required Skills:• Good knowledge of COBOL programming.• Experience with JCL and mainframe environments.• Knowledge of DB2 and SQL.• Basic understanding of CICS.• Good problem-solving and communication skills.• Experience with SDLC and production support is an advantage.Experience: 5–8 years of relevant COBOL/Mainframe experience.
