Cochlear Implant Rehabilitation Specialist (Auditory-Verbal Therapy)

We are the authorised distributor for Cochlear Ltd, and our Cochlear Implant Centres in Colombo and Kandy support recipients from candidacy through to lifelong care.We are looking for an experienced Auditory-Verbal Therapy clinician to lead cochlear implant rehabilitation for children and families. This is a senior clinical role for someone who has already seen what good AVT can do and wants to build that standard in Sri Lanka.What you will do:Deliver Auditory-Verbal Therapy to children with cochlear implants and hearing aids.Counsel families before implantation: expectations, commitment, the rehabilitation journey.Design and run post-switch-on rehabilitation plans, and track each child's progress.Work closely with our audiologists and ENT surgeons on candidacy, switch-on and ongoing care.Reach families outside Colombo and Kandy through telepractice sessions.Build referral relationships with hospitals, pediatricians, and ENTs.What we offer:A leading role in our cochlear implant programmeA competitive package that reflects your experienceFunded professional development internationally recognised certifications.Access to international mentors and Cochlear clinical training.A caseload of children and families where your work changes outcomes.Essential experience:Hands-on experience delivering Auditory-Verbal Therapy to CI or hearing-aid users.Fluent English plus Sinhala or Tamil.Highly regarded experience:Formal AVT training and qualifications.Experience in CI counselling.Experience with CI mapping or hearing aid fitting.Fluency in all three languages.Telepractice experience.A track record of building your own caseload.
