Coffee Roaster

Role DescriptionResponsible for roasting coffee beans to achieve consistent quality, flavour, and aroma according to established roasting profiles and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor coffee roasting equipment.Develop and follow roasting profiles for different coffee beans.Monitor roast time, temperature, colour, and overall bean quality.Conduct cupping and quality checks to ensure consistency.Record roasting data and maintain accurate production records.Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper operation of roasting equipment.Assist with green coffee selection, blending, and inventory management.Identify and report quality issues or equipment problems.Follow food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures.QualificationsPrevious experience as a Coffee Roaster or in specialty coffee is preferred.Good knowledge of coffee beans, roasting techniques, and flavour development.Strong attention to detail and consistency.Good sensory evaluation and cupping skills.Able to operate and maintain roasting equipment.Responsible, organised, and quality-focused.Passionate about coffee and willing to learn and develop roasting skills.
