Team members join a culture that values innovation, collaboration, and craftsmanship.Role Description The Coffee Roaster is responsible for roasting high-quality coffee beans, with a focus on consistency, flavor development, and adherence to Tayf Egypt’s standards. This on-site role, based in Cairo, Egypt, involves managing roasting profiles, monitoring production batches, and maintaining roasting equipment. The Coffee Roaster will cup and evaluate coffees regularly, document roasting data, and adjust processes to meet quality and specialty coffee requirements. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with the sourcing and café teams, supporting training on coffee standards, and contributing to new product development. The role requires attention to detail, an understanding of specialty coffee, and an interest in continuous improvement.Qualifications Proficiency in coffee roasting and understanding of roasting profiles and equipment operation.Experience in quality control, including cupping, tasting, and consistency checks for specialty coffee.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with café, operations, and training teams.Experience with specialty coffee standards and practices, including origin knowledge and processing methods.Ability to train team members on coffee preparation, quality standards, and product knowledge.Previous experience in a coffee roastery or specialty café environment is preferred.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage production schedules.Willingness to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, and adhere to safety and hygiene protocols.
