The team identifies fragmented and outdated systems, then designs the experience, builds the product, and develops the venture before external capital enters. SOURCE has launched seven independent technology ventures across sectors including location commerce, talent, wealth, media, tailoring, education, and insurance. Founder-funded with over $225K invested, the company follows a “build before we raise” philosophy, concentrating resources on the venture with the strongest evidence and clearest path to proof. This approach offers a structured company-building method with multiple opportunities for focus, growth, and investor entry points.Role Description As CoFounder – Chief Technology Officer at SOURCE | Ventures, you will lead technology strategy and execution across a focused set of high-potential ventures. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, working closely with the founding team to define technical roadmaps, own architectural decisions, and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable systems. Day-to-day, you will oversee software development across multiple products, guide engineering teams, set best practices, and engage directly in hands-on coding and technical problem-solving where needed. You will collaborate with product leads to translate business hypotheses into technical solutions, prioritize features, and manage delivery timelines. The role also includes building and mentoring the technical organization, managing vendor and partner relationships, and contributing to fundraising and investor discussions with clear technical narratives.Qualifications Strong software development skills with experience in building and scaling modern technology products.Proven ability in product development and translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.Expertise in IT strategy and technology architecture, including designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.Demonstrated project management capabilities, including prioritization, planning, and cross-functional coordination.Experience in early-stage startups or venture building environments, ideally in or relevant to GCC markets.Track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures.Comfort with hands-on execution alongside strategic leadership; ability to work in high-ambiguity, hypothesis-driven settings.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including explaining complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.Eligibility and willingness to work on-site in Riyadh; experience in GCC or emerging markets is a plus.
