Your new role Reporting directly to senior management, you will lead collection and recovery initiatives across the lending portfolio. This role goes beyond traditional collections and requires a commercially minded professional who can balance customer outcomes, portfolio quality, and business growth objectives.Key responsibilities include:Develop and implement collection, recovery and portfolio management strategiesAnalyse delinquency trends and identify solutions to improve collection performanceLead loan restructuring and workout discussions with customers facing financial difficultiesDesign sustainable repayment solutions while minimising credit lossesReview and optimise collection workflows, policies and operational processesWork closely with Credit Risk, Product and Operations teams to enhance portfolio qualityMonitor external collection agencies and legal recovery vendors where applicablePrepare management reports and portfolio performance updates for senior stakeholdersDrive process improvement and automation initiatives across collection functionsWhat you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplinesMinimum 5 years of experience in collections, recoveries, restructuring, credit control or portfolio managementExperience within fintech, digital lending, consumer finance, virtual banking or financial services sectorsStrong business acumen with the ability to evaluate commercial implications of restructuring solutionsFamiliarity with loan workout, restructuring and debt management programsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesFluency in English and ChineseWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or contact Rowina Lo at rowina.lo@hays.com.hk for a confidential discussion about your career.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
