Non-exempt role (OT in accordance with CA laws).Employer Work Model:Hybrid 1 onsite and 4 remote work model.Summary📒:Global AMLAW ranked litigation powerhouse, seeks a Collections Manager to help lead the firm's Collections Department and drive achievement of firmwide cash revenue goals. This role oversees day-to-day collections operations across a large, global accounts receivable portfolio spanning multiple offices and jurisdictions, and works closely with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex receivables issues.The Collections Manager reports directly to the Revenue Director and partners closely with department leadership on strategy, staffing, and performance.Key Responsibilities🗝:Collections OperationsPartner with the Revenue Director to set and manage collections targets across the portfolioOversee portfolio management by a team of collectors and LiaisonsMonitor aging reports and past-due accounts; identify trends and prioritize high-risk exposureHandle complex or escalated collection matters, including disputed invoices and multi-party billing issuesCoordinate directly with attorneys and partners on collection strategy for their mattersMaintain client contact as needed to resolve disputes and drive prompt payment resolutionReporting & AnalysisPrepare management reporting on collections performance, aging, and key metrics for department and firm leadershipAnalyze data to identify trends, risk patterns, and opportunities for process improvementLead or contribute to quarterly collections initiatives and recommend enhancements to workflows and proceduresDepartment LeadershipManage and develop a team of collectors and/or Liaisons, including performance management and trainingDevelop and refine departmental procedures and best practicesSupport cross-office coordination on collections and AR reporting alignment (US and international offices).Qualifications💡:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field5+ years of collections experience in a law firm or professional services environment (law firm strongly preferred); 2+ years in a management or supervisory capacityStrong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office, particularly ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with attorneys and clientsDemonstrated ability to manage a high-volume portfolio and competing deadlinesPreferred QualificationsExperience with 3E or similar legal billing/collections softwareFamiliarity with legal billing practices, engagement letters, and outside counsel guidelinesExperience supporting or managing a tiered collections structure (e.g., collectors, clerks)Exposure to multi-jurisdictional or multi-currency AR portfoliosAnnual Salary💵/Comp.💰 & Benefits:Starting salary range is up to 140K (DOE/DOQ), plus a robust & comprehensive benefits package, generous PTO, 401K, paid parking (onsite), annual reviews/raises, yearly lucrative bonuses, and many other notable employee-centered perks, etc.If interested in this Collections Manager role with this highly respected boutique litigation practice situated in Los Angeles, CA (90071), and you meet the above qualifications/requirements, please contact the following D3 rep.:Domenic Ferrante ~ D3 Search📬domenic@d3search.com | ☎213-785-2485🌐www.d3search.comD3 Legal Search, LLC (aka D3 Search) and its clients are equal opportunity employers.
