Dar Al Fikr Schools include boys’, girls’, and nursery sections, serving learners from early years through secondary education.Role Description The College Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based at Dar Al Fikr Schools in Jiddah. The College Counselor supports high school learners in exploring post-secondary options, preparing college application materials, and planning academic pathways aligned with learners’ goals. Daily responsibilities include meeting with learners and families, guiding them through college selection, application timelines, standardized testing, and essay preparation, and coordinating recommendation letters. The role also involves advising on financial aid and scholarship opportunities, organizing college-related workshops and information sessions, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local and international university admission requirements. The counselor collaborates with teachers, school leaders, and external institutions to ensure comprehensive guidance and smooth transitions to higher education.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in College Counseling and Student Counseling, with experience supporting diverse high school learners in their academic and career planning.Strong knowledge of College Applications processes, including application platforms, admission requirements, and preparation of supporting documents.Experience working with High School Students, including individual and group guidance, workshop facilitation, and parent communication.Ability to advise on Student Financial Aid, scholarships, and funding options for local and international institutions.Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field; relevant certifications in school or college counseling are an asset.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with learners, families, and staff.Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple learners’ application timelines and records.Familiarity with international higher education systems and university admission processes; experience in similar school settings is preferred.
