Comi Chef - Bakery

The Bakery Assistant will support the bakery chef in preparing and producing a variety of bakery products, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. The role involves assisting with daily production, maintaining product quality and consistency, following food safety and hygiene standards, and keeping the bakery area clean and organized. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a team player, and willing to learn and develop their baking skills. Key Responsibilities Assist the bakery chef in preparing breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products. Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production requirements. Assist with mixing, kneading, proofing, baking, and decorating bakery items. Maintain consistency in product quality, taste, texture, and presentation. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery area, equipment, and utensils. Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards. Monitor stock levels and report shortages of ingredients and supplies. Support daily bakery production and meet preparation deadlines. Follow instructions from the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Pastry Chef. Ensure all ingredients and bakery products are handled and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality. Assist with preparing the bakery workstation and organizing ingredients and equipment before production. RequirementsRequirements Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is preferred. Basic knowledge of baking techniques and bakery ingredients. Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures. Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Flexibility to support daily production requirements and work shifts when needed.
