Commercial Director – Retail

An established regional retail organization is seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive product strategy, commercial planning, inventory optimization, and merchandising performance across a large consumer business.This executive role will be responsible for shaping commercial direction, maximizing profitability, and leading cross-functional collaboration to deliver sustainable growth across multiple channels.What you'll be responsible for? Developing and executing the commercial strategy across multiple product categories.Leading assortment planning, inventory optimization, and trading performance.Driving sales, profitability, stock productivity, and commercial KPIs.Leading pricing, forecasting, and in-season performance reviews.Partnering with senior leaders across Retail, Digital, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.Building and developing high-performing commercial teams.Using consumer insights and market trends to influence strategic decisions.What are we looking for?12+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within large retail organizations.Strong expertise in category management, commercial planning, buying, merchandising, or related disciplines.A proven track record of leading large, high-performing teams and delivering commercial growth.Strong analytical, financial, and strategic decision-making capabilities.Experience within international consumer, lifestyle, fashion, sporting goods, or omnichannel retail environments is highly desirable.A bachelor's degree; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
