COMMERCIAL MANAGER

WE ARE HIRING | COMMERCIAL MANAGERLocation: Dubai / Abu Dhabi Department: CommercialReporting to: General ManagerIndustry: Projects / ContractingPosition: No.2 We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial and contractual activities across projects, from tender stage through final completion.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise the General Manager on commercial and contractual risks from tender to project completion.Lead contract management, commercial planning, cost control and financial management of projects.Review tenders, assess contractual risks, pricing, profitability and commercial exposure.Manage contracts, subcontracts, negotiations, variations, claims and final accounts.Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify commercial variances and corrective actions.Prepare and negotiate claims for loss and expense, and manage dispute resolution.Oversee interim valuations, monthly project payments and final accounts.Work closely with Estimation, Procurement, Project and Operations teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors regarding contractual matters, payments, claims and project completion.Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, insurance, bonds, warranties and guarantees.Provide commercial input into business plans, financial reviews and strategic decisions.Lead and develop the commercial team and ensure consistent implementation of commercial procedures.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Master’s degree is an advantage.10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in a Project Commercial Manager / Commercial Manager role.Strong knowledge of FIDIC forms of contract is mandatory.PMP certification is preferred.Strong experience in risk analysis, claims, variations, contract administration and project commercial management.Proven experience managing and leading a commercial team.Excellent negotiation, analytical, leadership and communication skills.Strong written and spoken English. Arabic is an advantage.Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, project teams and senior management.
