This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence while supporting the organization's strategic objectives.The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with effective leadership skills to develop high-performing teams, optimize business operations, and deliver sustainable revenue growth. As a key member of the leadership team, the Commercial Manager will play a critical role in achieving business targets, maintaining customer loyalty, and contributing to the long-term success of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth Initiatives: Driving sales growth and identifying new business opportunities to enhance our market presence.Contract Governance: Overseeing all aspects of contract management to ensure compliance and alignment with our strategic goals.Operational Management: Oversee operations, ensuring efficiency in delivery, including deployment and management. Ensure Operational excellence is delivered through appropriate supervision of Branch and Site resources, and that Securitas and client S.O.P.S, Site Instruction, Duty post orders, Staff JDs, are maintained and up to date as required and strictly adhered to.Sales and Business Development: Drive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, identify new business opportunities, and maintain relationships with key clients.Client Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients to ensure their needs are met. Constantly strives to improve operations and quality of services delivered to our clients both internal and external.Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management for the branch, ensuring profitability while maintaining service quality. Controls branch P&L and consults with the Finance Department monthly to improve results and control costs.Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on branch performance, sales metrics, and market trends for senior management.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with upper management to develop and implement branch strategies aligned with overall business objectives.Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand competitive dynamics and customer needs, adjusting strategies accordingly.Community Engagement: Build relationships within the community to enhance the branch's reputation and visibility.Business Continuity: Ensure seamless operations and quick recovery during disruptions by implementing and maintaining effective business continuity plans. Ensure all client sites and the Branch itself have in place Business continuity Plans and that these are evaluated yearly to ensure effectiveness, liase with other Branches and internal stakeholders to ensure plans are appropriate.Qualifications & CompetenciesBachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Finance, Management, or a related field.Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in the security industry, with at least 3-5 years in a operations management, or commercial leadership role.Proven track record in sales, business development, and contract management within the security services sector, consistently achieving or exceeding revenue and profitability targets.Strong knowledge of manned guarding, mobile security, event security, risk management, and integrated security solutions.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams, including operations, sales, and support functions.Excellent customer relationship management skills, with experience managing key accounts and developing long-term client partnerships.Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, revenue forecasting, and cost control.Ability to analyze branch performance metrics, operational KPIs, and financial reports to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to address operational and customer-related challenges effectively.In-depth understanding of security industry regulations, licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and relevant local laws.Experience in contract tendering, pricing strategies, and preparation of commercial proposals.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and business management systems.
