Commercial Planning Manager

We are looking for a Commercial Planning Manager to lead commercial planning activities across assortment, inventory health, SKU productivity, and range optimization.The role will translate commercial strategy into actionable plans that improve assortment productivity, reduce overstock, optimize inventory, and support profitable growth. You will work closely with Category Management, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Master Data, Commercial Excellence, and Media Buying teams to drive planning decisions and ensure strong execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead assortment planning and range optimization across categoriesMonitor inventory health, overstock, slow-moving and aged stock, and drive clearance actionsLead SKU rationalization to improve product and category productivityAnalyze sales, margin, stock cover, availability, and SKU performance to identify opportunities and risksSupport monthly, quarterly, and seasonal commercial planning activitiesWork closely with Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders to align plans and drive executionProvide commercial insights and recommendations to support management decision-makingRequirementsPlanning, Category Planning, Retail Planning, or a similar roleStrong experience in assortment planning, inventory management, SKU rationalization, and range optimizationStrong understanding of retail commercial metrics such as sales, margin, sell-through, stock cover, inventory value, and SKU productivityExperience working closely with Category Management and Supply/Demand Planning teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel skills and strong ability to work with data and planning reportsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to translate data and analysis into clear commercial actions and recommendations
