This includes applying management consultancy principles to the ways of working. This role will set up the systems to record the data required for the commercial team’s business casing, including but not limited to, marketing data, sales data, competitor data and pricing scraping.This role focuses on building a deep understanding of the product portfolio, including itinerary positioning, target audience, competitive set, and pricing strategy across all operating products.Through ongoing market and competitor analysis, the role provides actionable insights to support product optimisation, starting price decisions, and overall commercial performance.This role supports the Head of Commercial Product in evaluating new product opportunities and validating them against the market.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Data & Reporting Support the Commercial Product team by gathering and maintaining accurate product and performance dataProduce regular reports to support team decision-making and ongoing performance reviewsPrepare indepth reports for Product Development meetingsCross-functional Team Provide a data link between the product, brand and marketing team by validating concepts and ideas with robust market insightsTranslate marketing research pieces into actionable product design briefingTrack and monitor the results of new product developmentCompetitor Tracking & Analysis Monitor competitor products, including new launches, changes to itineraries, and pricing updatesTrack competitor positioning and identify key trends and innovations in the marketOwn and manage competitor analysis tool (Alytic), ensuring data is up to date and easily accessible for the wider teamProvide regular summaries of competitor activity and highlight key movementsSales & Performance Support Track sales performance against forecast by itinerary to support capacity and planning decisionsAssist in identifying trends and variances year-on-yearSupport the team with data inputs for capacity adjustments and forward planningTeam Support & Coordination Work closely with Product, Commercial, and Local Teams to gather data and support ongoing analysisProvide day-to-day analytical support to the Commercial Product Manager and wider teamPresentation Preparation Turning the analysis into interesting and engaging insights that can be presented to the Senior leadership and exec teamThis role participates in presenting the findings and recommendations to the senior leadership teamROLE SUCCESS CRITERIAExcellent attention to detail & accuracyAbility to analyse and interpret dataExceptional organisational skillsTeam player with flexible approach to working methods with changing priorities and pressures.KEY INDIVIDUAL TRAITSA trait is an enduring characteristic that serves as a strong indicator of potential for success in this role.
