Employment Type: Permanent | Full-TimeIndustry: Data Centres | Mission Critical InfrastructureAbout the OpportunityWe are currently supporting a leading international data centre developer and operator in the recruitment of an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their expanding operations in Germany.This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of commissioning activities on large-scale, technically complex data centre developments in Berlin or Frankfurt, ensuring the successful delivery of critical infrastructure from construction through to operational handover.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate end-to-end commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical and critical infrastructure systems.Develop and manage commissioning strategies, schedules, procedures and documentation.Oversee commissioning activities from initial equipment testing through integrated systems testing (IST) and final handover.Coordinate with general contractors, MEP subcontractors, commissioning agents, consultants and internal project teams.Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations and operational requirements.Identify and resolve technical issues, commissioning risks and interface challenges.Monitor commissioning progress, manage outstanding issues and ensure project milestones are achieved.Support the successful transition of completed facilities into live operations.RequirementsProven experience as a Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Lead or Senior Commissioning Engineer on large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects.Strong technical understanding of MEP systems, including electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, BMS and associated infrastructure.Experience managing commissioning processes, including Level 1–5 commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).Previous experience coordinating multidisciplinary contractors and commissioning teams.Strong understanding of commissioning documentation, testing protocols and handover procedures.Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.Fluent English; German language skills are advantageous.Degree or relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.What's on Offer?Permanent position with an established international data centre organisation.Opportunity to work on major hyperscale and mission-critical infrastructure developments.Long-term career development within a growing European data centre portfolio.Competitive salary and benefits package.Exposure to technically challenging projects and international delivery teams.Interested?If you have experience delivering commissioning activities on data centre projects and are considering your next career move in Germany, I would be happy to have a confidential conversation.Apply directly or get in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
